NuFACE Mini+ vs Trinity+: Which Should You Buy? (2026)

SKINFOUNDRY

The NuFACE MINI+ ($250) and TRINITY+ ($395) use the same microcurrent and the same routine. The TRINITY+ costs $145 more for two things: a boost button that raises power by 25%, and a head that accepts attachments for the eyes, lips and red light. If you only want the core face treatment, the MINI+ does the job. If you want attachments, buy the TRINITY+.

Reviewed October 2026. Prices, routines and policies are taken from NuFACE’s US website at that date and change often.

What is the same

Both devices deliver microcurrent, a low-level current that stimulates the small facial muscles so cheeks and the jawline can look more lifted. Both have the same three modes, the same five-minute routine and the same gel requirement. NuFACE quotes the same figures for both: 90% saw a lifted appearance in a 60-day consumer questionnaire, and 91% saw improved cheek contour in a questionnaire taken 15 minutes after treatment. Results build with the five-day routine and fade if you stop. For what the evidence shows, see Does NuFACE really work?

What the extra $145 buys

  • The boost button. The TRINITY+ can raise its microcurrent by 25%. Some people like a stronger feel; others never use it.
  • Attachments. The TRINITY+ head swaps out. The Lip and Eye attachment uses smaller spheres for the eye and lip area, and the Red Light Wrinkle Reducer adds LED. Each costs $160, so the full set comes to $595.
  • Size. The MINI+ is smaller and easier to travel with. The TRINITY+ covers larger areas a little faster.

Which should you choose?

  • Choose the MINI+ if you want the core face routine at the lowest price, or a travel device, and you do not plan to buy attachments.
  • Choose the TRINITY+ if you want the eye and lip attachment or red light later, or you want the boost option.
  • Consider a third option if your main concern is loose skin rather than muscle tone. Neither NuFACE device uses radiofrequency (RF), the technology most associated with the look of firmer skin.

If your concern is loose skin

Microcurrent works on muscle. Sagging usually involves both muscle tone and skin that has lost firmness. SKINFOUNDRY Halo combines RF for the look of firmer skin with EMS for muscle toning, plus ultrasonic, LED and vibration, at the same $395 as the TRINITY+. Its starter routine is 15 minutes twice a week rather than five days a week, and it ships with Lumis, a treatment gel with five targeted actives. Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between NuFACE Mini and Trinity? The TRINITY+ adds a 25% boost button and accepts attachments for the eyes, lips and red light. The MINI+ is smaller and $145 cheaper. The microcurrent, modes and routine are the same.

Is the NuFACE Mini as good as the Trinity? For the core face treatment, yes. NuFACE uses the same modes, routine and results figures for both. The Trinity is better only if you will use the boost or the attachments.

Can you use Trinity attachments on the Mini? NuFACE sells its attachments for the TRINITY+ and does not list any for the MINI+. Check NuFACE’s compatibility notes before buying one.

How long do NuFACE results take? A lift can show right after a session. NuFACE measures its longer-term results after 60 days of use five days a week, then recommends two to three sessions a week to maintain them.

What does a NuFACE cost per year? The device, plus its gel. NuFACE’s Aqua Gel is about $35 for roughly a month of the daily routine, so plan for the gel as an ongoing cost.
