How Often Should You Use a Facial Device? A Schedule by Goal

SKINFOUNDRY

Follow the schedule for your exact device. SKINFOUNDRY Halo’s user guide recommends two to three sessions per week, with five minutes per mode. Its Essentials routine combines Clean, Import and Lifting for 15 minutes, twice weekly. This schedule should not be applied to every RF, EMS, microcurrent or LED device.

The Halo schedule

Question Halo user-guide instruction
How often? Two to three sessions per week
How long per mode? Five minutes
Essentials routine? Clean, Import and Lifting; 15 minutes, twice weekly
Starting intensity? Level 1
First evaluation? Allow at least four weeks of consistent use; results vary

You do not need to use all five modes in each session. The guide describes a 15-minute Essentials routine, not a 15-minute run through all five modes. Five complete modes take 25 minutes of treatment time, plus transitions.

Match the treatment product to the mode

Use cleanser on damp skin for Clean mode; Lumis is optional. Use Lumis Activating Treatment Gel for Import, Eye Care, Anti-aging and Lifting. Halo has no standalone LED-only mode. Follow the complete Halo guide for movement and application instructions.

For more on application and product choice, read what gel to use for microcurrent.

Can I use Halo daily?

The guide recommends two to three weekly sessions. Follow that schedule rather than increasing use to chase faster results. Start at Level 1, keep the device moving and stop if treatment is uncomfortable.

What about other facial devices?

Check the manufacturer, model and mode. Devices sharing a technology name can have different instructions. Use that product’s recommended frequency, session time and gel; do not substitute Halo’s schedule.

Building a routine you can follow

Choose treatment times that fit your week. Keep the device guide close by and record which modes you use. If you take progress photos, use the same lighting. The guide suggests allowing at least four weeks before evaluating results; it does not guarantee a result by a particular date.

Frequently asked questions

Does every Halo session take 15 minutes? No. Each mode takes five minutes. The Clean, Import and Lifting Essentials routine takes 15 minutes.

Does the schedule change with age? The guide gives a general adult-use schedule. It does not provide an age-specific plan. Follow its cautions and ask your dermatologist if you are unsure whether the device is appropriate for you.

Can I use Halo after a clinic treatment? Ask the clinician who performed the treatment when and whether you can resume device use. Do not use a generic waiting period from an article.

Where are the complete instructions? Read the Halo treatment guide and the guide supplied with your device before starting.
