NuFACE vs Medicube Age-R Booster Pro: Which Is Right for You? (2026)

NuFACE vs Medicube Age-R Booster Pro: Which Is Right for You? (2026)

SKINFOUNDRY

NuFACE Trinity+ is a microcurrent specialist for a lifted, more contoured look. The Medicube Age-R Booster Pro is a K-beauty glow device built around helping skincare absorb, with microcurrent and EMS modes on the side, at a lower price. Neither uses radiofrequency, so neither targets skin firmness directly. Choose by your main goal: lift, glow, or firmness.

Reviewed September 2026. Prices and routines are taken from each brand’s US website at that date and change often.

NuFACE Trinity+: for lift

NuFACE uses microcurrent to stimulate the small facial muscles, so cheeks and jawline can look more lifted. The effect shows right after a session and builds with consistent use, but it depends on the routine: five sessions a week for 60 days, then ongoing maintenance, and results fade if you stop. It needs NuFACE’s gel every session. For the evidence and what to expect, see Does NuFACE really work?

Medicube Age-R Booster Pro: for glow

The Booster Pro is built around electroporation, which uses electrical pulses to help serums absorb. That Booster mode is its signature. It also has an MC (microcurrent) mode, a Derma Shot EMS mode for targeted areas, an Air Shot mode for pores and texture, sonic vibration and LED. It works with your normal skincare rather than a dedicated gel, and it is cheaper than NuFACE. Medicube has since released a newer Booster Pro X2, so check which model you are buying.

What the Booster Pro does not do is target firmness the way radiofrequency does, and its microcurrent is one mode among six rather than the whole device.

Which should you choose?

  • Choose NuFACE Trinity+ if your main concern is a softer, less lifted face and you will keep a five-day-a-week routine.
  • Choose the Medicube Booster Pro if you want glow and better absorption from the serums you already use, at a lower price.
  • Consider a device with radiofrequency if your concern is loose or crepey skin along the jawline and neck. Neither of these two targets that layer.

A third option: RF and EMS together

SKINFOUNDRY Halo is $395, the same as NuFACE Trinity+. It combines bipolar RF, which gently warms the deeper skin for the look of firmness, with EMS for muscle toning, plus ultrasonic, sonic vibration and LED, in one cordless device. The Essentials routine (Clean, Import and Lifting) is 15 minutes, twice a week and does not include RF. The Full Treatment adds the two RF modes (Eye Care and Anti-aging) and runs about 25 minutes, once or twice a week. It is used with Lumis. Unlike most conductive gels, which only help a device glide, Lumis is a treatment gel with five actives: niacinamide, tranexamic acid, peptides, vitamin C and hyaluronic acid. The trade-offs: SKINFOUNDRY is a new brand with far fewer reviews, and its warranty is 1 year. It comes with a 90-Day Promise.
