What you use with SKINFOUNDRY Halo depends on the mode. Clean uses cleanser on damp skin, with Lumis optional. Import, Eye Care, Anti-aging and Lifting use Lumis Activating Treatment Gel, applied as the instructions describe. Start from the mode you are about to select, not from the idea that every step uses the same product.

Preparation by mode
| Mode | What the SKINFOUNDRY Halo guide specifies |
|---|---|
| Clean | Cleanser on damp skin; Lumis optional |
| Import | Lumis on clean, dry skin |
| Eye Care | Lumis around the orbital bone, never on the eyelids, Level 1 |
| Anti-aging | Lumis on prepared skin |
| Lifting | Lumis as directed, enough for a smooth glide |
Use the amount and technique in the current instructions, keep the glide smooth, and stop if anything feels uncomfortable. The complete SKINFOUNDRY Halo guide covers timing, settings and cautions, and the 15-minute Essentials routine walks through a session.
What is Lumis?
Lumis is the treatment gel developed for SKINFOUNDRY Halo. Unlike most conductive gels, which only help a device glide, Lumis is a treatment gel with five actives: niacinamide, tranexamic acid, peptides, vitamin C and hyaluronic acid. It is transparent, lightweight and leaves no residue.
How the five actives appear on the label
| Familiar name | Name in the ingredient list |
|---|---|
| Niacinamide (vitamin B3) | Niacinamide |
| Tranexamic acid | Tranexamic Acid |
| Peptide | Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 |
| Vitamin C (a stable derivative) | Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate |
| Hyaluronic acid | Sodium Hyaluronate |
These names help you read the label. Research on an ingredient is not the same as testing of the finished formula; concentration, the rest of the formula and how it is used all matter. For more on two of these actives, read niacinamide and tranexamic acid together and peptides for skin.
Full ingredient list
The current published ingredient list (INCI) is: Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Niacinamide, Tranexamic Acid, Panthenol, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Alpha-Arbutin, Centella Asiatica Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Chloride, Potassium Chloride, Carbomer, Allantoin, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Triethanolamine, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hydroxyethylcellulose.
Always check the label on your pack and the Lumis page for the latest version. If you have an ingredient sensitivity, read the full list, not only the five highlighted names.
Can I use a different serum or gel?
Do not assume that a serum already in your routine can replace the preparation specified for an energy-based device. Follow the SKINFOUNDRY Halo instructions. This guide does not establish compatibility with another brand’s serum, oil, gel or device, and a shared word like “conductive” does not make two products interchangeable. Starter and full size
SKINFOUNDRY Halo ($395) comes with a 30 ml Lumis starter. Full-size Lumis is 80 ml at $54.99, sold separately; check current availability on the Lumis page before ordering. How long a bottle lasts depends on your routine and how much you apply, so there is no single refill interval that fits everyone.
For comparison, NuFACE’s Aqua Gel is $35 for 1.69 oz, about a month of daily use, and it is designed to conduct rather than to carry a set of actives. See NuFACE Trinity+ vs CurrentBody RF vs SKINFOUNDRY Halo.
